RANJANA, a talented exponent, initially learnt Kathak dance from the great Gurus from different places and later she gleamed with advance training under great maestro Pandit Birju Maharaj ji at Kathak Kendra, New Delhi, an outstanding institute of Kathak dance.

Since 1985 Ranjana has been performing extensively within the country including Jhansi Mahotsav (Jhansi), Sur Singar Sammelan (Mumbai), Guru Purnima Festival (Patna) as well as in abroad like, Indo Cultural Integration (Jakarta, Indonesia), Indian Ocean Festival (France, India Food Festival (Mauritius, Solo performance in England, South Africa, Bangladesh, Singapore, Ujbekistan etc.

She has also been awarded by Fellowship Award from Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. New Delhi in the year 2000 in the field of Dance.

Ranjana is dedicated in Kathak, also accomplished musical playing on Tabla and a Classical singer as well. She has been honoured by various voluntary and public bodies. She is also founder of NUPUR KALAASHRAM a cultural organisation with a motto of teaching Kathak dance and also to provide sound education to children of all communities irrespective of their caste or creed in general and to prepare them to become mature with cultural, moral, spiritual & intellectual developments.

Her Vivacity, elegance, flair for rhythm and aesthetics, flourish in movements, fiercely independent mind gives her a delightful appeal. She combines in herself various role of performer, Director, Choreographer, teacher as well as a scholar.
